Cincinnati SuperJobs Center Honored with Awards

Five Arbor E&T employees were honored among 28 other award recipients with the Super Employee Award, given by the Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board on February 11th, for their leadership in the workforce system. Arbor E&T was also honored as a “Super ARRA Summer Youth Provider.”

“Our region is blessed to have an abundance of talent working toward the goals of getting more people into more jobs and making sure those people have the proper training,” said Sherry Kelley Marshall, President/CEO of the Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board. “These talented individuals and organizations have shown sustained leadership in making this happen in Greater Cincinnati.”

Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory and Hamilton County Commissioner David Pepper handed out the awards in a ceremony at the SWORWIB’s Annual Meeting at the SuperJobs Center.

The Arbor E&T Super Employee Award recipients:

  • Maria Cotto, current leader with job placements. Maria’s fluency in Spanish has helped her assist numerous Spanish-speaking customers
  • Chris Hunter, a problem-solving, organized team player
  • Georgie Reed, a great asset in determining eligibility for Workforce Investment Act services
  • Sheldon Scott, instrumental in establishing the Jordan Crossing satellite office and the partnership with Great Oaks for the Return to Work Center
  • Jan Thomas, placement numbers, businesses served and survey results reflect her commitment to excellence

Super ARRA Summer Youth Provider:

  • Arbor E&T, focused on adults 18-24 concentrating on large team assignments in parks and historic properties
