Arbor E&T, LLC’s (“Arbor”) Back to Work (“BTW”) program located at 116 John Street, NYC experienced a breach of its participants’ private information on October 30, 2009. Specifically, participants’ social security numbers were stolen from Arbor’s office. Arbor has reported the theft to the New York City Police Department, Precinct #1; the police report number is 7016.
Although Arbor does not believe that the information has been used by the thief, the Company encourages you to report the loss of your private information to the following three (3) credit reporting agencies:
When you call these credit agencies, please ask that they place a “fraud alert” on your credit accounts. By placing a fraud alert on your accounts, you may stop someone else from stealing and using your identity for their own benefit. There is no charge to place a fraud alert on your accounts; the alert lasts for ninety (90) days but you may renew it at the end of the 90 day period.
Arbor has investigated the issue and is taking steps to ensure that such a loss of private information does not occur again. Arbor has also re-trained all of its employees on the need to protect private information and on the Company’s security policies and procedures. Arbor has also implemented specific case identification numbers for all participants to replace the use of full or partial social security numbers.
If you have any questions about this issue, please contact Arbor, toll free, at 1-877/280-6833 and ask to speak with a member of the Arbor Help Team, who will answer any questions you may have.
