Arbor One-Stop Centers help local employers recruit qualified new employees, reduce turnover, and develop a more skilled workforce. Employers can make one phone call to get access to services provided by all the major employment, education, and training organizations in their community.

  • One-Stop staff search many diverse applicant pools to provide prescreened applicants that meet an employer's specifications.
  • Employers can use space at Arbor One-Stop Centers for interviewing and testing applicants.
  • One-Stop Centers frequently host Job Fairs to draw a large applicant pool; we can customize these events to a single employer or to groups of employers with similar needs or from a common geographic region.
  • Our One-Stops offer seminars for employers that are customized to address the particular needs of the various industry sectors in the area.
Arbor One-Stop Centers have Business Service Teams of knowledgeable account reps to represent the Center and all of its various programs. These teams are organized by industry segment or location and keep information in a common database. Individual reps focus on the needs of their individual business clients.

  • One-Stop staff work with local training agencies and employers to develop new, cost-effective training courses that meet employer demands for new skills in growing industries. We often explore non-traditional and employer-based training opportunities and identify government resources that may help offset the costs of the training.
  • Arbor One-Stop Centers provide on-the-job training programs, job task analysis, outplacement or downsizing services, temporary employment programs, and training of incumbent workers.
  • Arbor One-Stop Centers help employers take advantage of government programs, tax incentives, and short-term salary subsidies for which they might qualify, especially if they hire from special populations such as youth, low-income individuals or welfare recipients.
  • Arbor One-Stop Career Centers offer workshops and training for businesses that employ workers from other countries. These services address language and cultural issues, and promote a productive workplace experience for both employer and employee.
  • One-Stop Center staff assist employers who do not have human resources departments, advising them about a broad range of topics, such as recruitment, screening, interviewing, job descriptions, EEO and ADA requirements, personnel records, and workplace policies and procedures.
One-Stop staff participate in economic development projects and in business organizations and advocacy groups in order to contribute to the overall economic health and betterment of their local communities.
