We believe that a One-Stop Center is not merely a placement agency. It is a place where jobseekers can learn to pursue the life-long learning and self-directed job search techniques required to be successful in the new global job market.

We support the vision of the nation's workforce development system as an economic development program whose principal customers are American businesses and other employers. At an Arbor One-Stop, relations with business go far beyond just taking job orders. Our Business Service Teams contact employers, analyze their needs and implement customized solutions to meet their hiring and training requirements.

Arbor operates over 100 One-Stops in 21 States. We work in large cities and rural areas, with high-tech start-ups and old-line industries. We help kids find their first job and laid-off workers return to a new one. We teach those with barriers to employment how to get a foot in the door and those who are already employed how to move up the ladder. We inform, instruct, advise, encourage and advocate for all those trying to succeed on both sides of the labor market.
