Types of Programs
Workforce development has been Arbor's sole business since 1968. During the past three decades, we've successfully operated a wide range of programs under nine pieces of federal legislation. We've repeatedly demonstrated expertise in customizing core program components and Arbor-developed innovations to meet unique local needs.

One-Stop
Arbor Education & Training manages, operates, and collaborates with One-Stop Centers throughout the country. We provide core, intensive, and training services to adults, dislocated workers, co-enrolled youth, and other special populations. We also offer a wide variety of services to employers. For further information, please visit our One-Stop pages.

Welfare
Arbor's services to TANF, general assistance, and welfare diversion clients include intensive assessment, case management, work readiness, life management skills, motivation enhancement, subsidized work experience, occupational skills training, job development, job search assistance, job placement, job retention, and career advancement. The emphasis is on work: obtaining, retaining, and advancing in a job with a good future. Arbor has also operated welfare pilot programs for individual states and currently provides specialized services. For example, we serve the needs of the physically disabled and those with behavioral health challenges.

In-school programs focus on drop-out prevention, academic enrichment, work-based learning, career exploration, job shadowing, internships, and work experience.
