Services to Businesses
- Arbor One-Stop Centers help local employers recruit qualified new employees, reduce turnover, and develop a more skilled workforce.
- Employers make one phone call to get access to services provided by the major employment, education, and training organizations in their community.
- Arbor One-Stop Centers have teams of knowledgeable account reps to represent the entire Center, not the individual programs. These teams are organized by industry segment or location and keep information in a common database. Individual reps focus on the needs of their individual business clients.
- One-Stop staff search many and diverse applicant pools to provide prescreened applicants that meet an employer's specifications.
- Employers can use space at Arbor One-Stop Centers for interviewing and testing applicants.
- Arbor One-Stop Centers frequently host Job Fairs to draw a large applicant pool; we can customize the fairs to a single employer or to groups of employers with similar needs or from a common geographic region.
- Arbor One-Stop Centers provide on-the-job training programs, job task analysis, outplacement or downsizing services, temporary employment programs, and training of incumbent workers.
- One-Stop staff work with local training agencies and employers to develop new, cost-effective training courses that meet employer demands for new skills in growing industries. We often explore non-traditional and employer-based training opportunities and identify government resources that may help offset the costs of the training.
- Arbor One-Stop Career Centers offer workshops and training for businesses that employ workers from other countries. These services address language and cultural issues, and promote a productive workplace experience for both employer and employee.
- Arbor One-Stop Centers help employers take advantage of government programs, tax incentives, and short-term salary subsidies for which they might qualify, especially if they hire from special populations (youth, low-income individuals, welfare recipients).
- One-Stop Center staff assist employers who do not have human resources departments, advising them about a broad range of topics, such as recruitment, screening, interviewing, job descriptions, EEO and ADA requirements, personnel records, and workplace policies and procedures.
- Arbor One-Stops offer seminars for employers that are customized to address the particular needs of the various industry sectors in the area.
