We believe that a One-Stop Center is not merely a placement agency. It is a place where jobseekers can learn to pursue the life-long learning and self-directed job search techniques required to be successful in the new global job market.
Arbor supports the "demand-driven" vision that the nation's workforce development system is primarily an economic development program whose principal customers are American businesses and other employers. At an Arbor One-Stop, relations with business go far beyond just taking job orders.
Arbor provides the full range of One-Stop services in various locations throughout the country, including:
- Vancouver, Washington, where we operate a One-Stop in partnership with the state employment service, providing jobseeker and business services.
- Norfolk, Virginia, where we operate the Hampton Roads One-Stop System and provide jobseeker and business services.
- Parkersburg, West Virginia, where we provide management services at a One-Stop Career Center.
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where we are the lead contractor for a One-Stop Center for youth aging out of foster care.
- Staten Island, New York, where we provide One-Stop services to adults and dislocated workers.
